Samantha and Kris met through a mutual friend while fishing. Neither of them were looking for love, but fast forward three years to them planning their fall wedding day Par Place near Prince Albert!
After a morning of hair and makeup with the girls, Sam and her mother headed back to the hotel to get dressed. Sam’s father had passed away a few years ago, and Sam said she knows he is with her when she sees dragonflies. Sam and her mom spend a few quiet moments together as her mom helped her into her dress, and gave Sam a delicate dragonfly ring so that her father could be near her all day.
Sam described Kris as ‘one mean Boy Scout’, which made woodsy Par Place the perfect setting for this outdoorsy couple’s wedding. Kris waited in the trees to see his bride for the first time, where they spent a few moments alone together before joining up with their awesome wedding party for photos before the ceremony. The autumn sun shone gently on them as they said their vows on the deck, surrounded by their family, blue sky and pines.
The fall theme carried inside to their decor, bedecking the log cabin with sheaves of wheat, birch pillar candles, lanterns, string lights and autumn leaves. True to Sam and Kris’ laid back nature, the party kicked off with some hilarious speeches, and the warmth and laughter continued into the crisp September night.
Congrats Samantha and Kris on your ‘perfect catch’!
