Ashley’s Colorful Garden Grad Photos at the Saskatoon Forestry Farm
Say hi to Ashley! Ashley wanted a wild, colorful garden vibe for her grad photos and the Saskatoon Forestry Farm definitely did not disappoint!
This was actually my first time photographing a grad at the Forestry Farm, but it won’t be my last! This is due to most grads wanting photos in June. But it’s too early and the gardens haven’t bloomed yet, so we end up going elsewhere. There’s no rule that you have to have your photos done in June – so many locations look better if you wait a bit longer into summer! So Ashley wisely chose to do her photos near the end of July, and the gardens were an explosion of color and texture. Beautiful spots greeted us in every direction we turned, and we got so much variety in her photos as a result!
One of my favorite things about Ashley’s grad session was the special props that she made. She celebrated both her mother and her Mexican heritage with creative embellishments to her graduation cap and sash. Accordingly, her cap was decorated with flowers in the colors of the Mexican flag. On top, it read in Spanish “I couldn’t have done it without my Mama.” It was such a touching and beautiful tribute to her family and its history.
A 2022 graduate of Centennial Collegiate in Saskatoon, Ashley is a talented athlete who plays both soccer and volleyball. With an interest in studying psychology, she made the decision to take this year off to explore her options and determine her next path. But I have no doubt she will excel in whatever she chooses to pursue!
Ashley is so upbeat and quick to laugh and it was a joy to spend an evening with her! Congratulations again, Ashley, on your achievements!
