Nathan’s LCBI Grad Photos in Outlook, Saskatchewan
Nathan officially kicked off my grad season in Outlook this past May, and what a way to begin! A Lutheran Collegiate Bible Institute (LCBI) grad and all-around multi-talented guy, Nathan is a dedicated lacrosse and football player. In addition, he’s a big music fan with diverse taste, and loves diving into history, hockey, and just about anything else that sparks his interest!
We started his session on the LCBI campus. Nathan showed me around and suggested lots of fun ideas for using the campus as a backdrop. Additionally, he shared some fascinating stories about its history, including the underground tunnels! Afterwards, Nathan had found a scenic spot by the river, overlooking the iconic Outlook train bridge. He also brought his truck to incorporate into the photos. It paired perfectly with his football jersey and the sunset bridge view, adding a unique and personal element to his photos.
If you’re planning to include your vehicle in your grad session, here are some tips:
- Clean It Up: Give your vehicle a good wash. A clean vehicle will photograph better and reflect the care you’ve put into it.
- Pick the Right Location: Work with your photographer ahead of time to choose a spot that complements your vehicle and your session’s vibe, like open fields, scenic overlooks, or urban backdrops with interesting textures. Also ensure that the terrain allows for the vehicle to access the area easily!
- Consider the Lighting: Vehicles reflect light, so shooting during golden hour can help create flattering and dramatic lighting.
- Highlight Personal Touches: Showcase what makes your vehicle unique and personal, whether it’s custom paint, decals, or sentimental accessories like bumper stickers.
- Pair It with Your Interests: Match your vehicle with items that reflect your hobbies or style, like your sports gear or musical instrument. Additionally, this creates cohesive storytelling in your photos.
Nathan, congratulations on your graduation! Best of luck in the welding program at Sask Polytech. With your sunny demeanor, humor and determination, you’re going to do amazing things!
