Intimate Pike Lake Wedding in the Fall
A quiet Saturday morning unfolding in the heart of a prairie autumn. Early October’s sun, warm but gentle. The vibrant yellow hues of the aspen groves, whispering in the breeze. The perfect day for an intimate fall wedding at Pike Lake.
“He’s into insects, and I’m into wild plants, we bond over looking at the ground.”
Both passionate nature enthusiasts, they share a deep appreciation for all things wild, but particularly insects and plants. Date nights often find them out wandering along the river searching for both, a familiar scenario which even played in to their engagement story. As a result, the choice of location held special significance for them. Pike Lake Provincial Park, with its stunning natural surroundings, and the pavilion itself, with its leaf-shaped design, became the obvious perfect place.
“Outdoors and nature conservation are meaningful for us.“
With the crispy scent of fall leaves in the air and the sun warming their faces, they exchanged their vows at the pavilion. An especially intimate celebration, they were surrounded only by their nearest and dearest – their parents, siblings, and grandma – and witnessed by Mother Nature herself.
Afterwards, they celebrated their union by sharing a picnic with their family. Sipping on steaming cups of coffee and glasses of sparkling cider, indulging in homemade soup and a gorgeous chocolate cake. Simple yet meaningful gestures surrounded by the beauty of nature and the comfortable company of their loved ones. Congratulations <3
” ‘I felt like I was there.’ We had a small ceremony, and when I shared the photos with my friends they said they felt like they were there on the day. The documentary style was nice to remember the little details of the day. She got everyone smiling candidly, and these photos are treasures for us now. We were so happy to have her as part of our wedding!”
