Carrie’s Rural Saskatoon Graduation Photos on the Family Farm

Carrie is a 2022 graduate from Tommy Douglas Collegiate! I first met her family four years ago, when we met up on their farm near Grandora for her brother Josh’s graduation portraits. This time, it was Carrie’s turn to celebrate!

The family farm is always a such great place for grad photos. Full of childhood memories and nostalgia, it’s a special place for the family, and the perfect location for capturing such a memorable time in Carrie’s life. It was fun to explore the farm through Carrie’s eyes. From the big red barn to the lilacs at golden hour, some old farm junk in the tall grass and a stunning sunset out in the field, we got so much variety in her images! We were also sure to get her three beloved dogs in some photos. And of course we couldn’t miss a few shots with the 1966 Plymouth Satellite that her dad restored. The color of the car matched her dress perfectly!

Carrie is a country music fan who enjoys hanging out at the lake. As I chatted with her dad after the session, I learned that they have a cabin at Candle Lake, right down the road from our family cabin! If this wasn’t enough of a coincidence, this is the third time I’ve had a client with a cabin just a short walk away from mine – and none of them know each other!

Carrie loves working with kids. She currently works in a daycare, and is heading to Sask Polytech to study Early Childhood Development. She’s such a sweet, calm and caring person, it’s so easy to see why the kids love her back. Congratulations on your graduation, Carrie!
