Amanda and Ty’s Saskatchewan Family Farm Wedding near Fulda
Amanda and Ty both describe each other as adventurous. Ty races snowmobiles and mined for gold in the Yukon, while Amanda loves to travel. These two have fun together no matter what they are doing. Even if it’s just some yard work followed by a few cold ones on the deck, they can turn the simplest of things into the perfect Saturday afternoon, or even better – a random adventure. A pandemic maybe wasn’t the adventure they had in mind, but when COVID hit, they realized that being quarantined together wasn’t all that bad. In fact, it kind of sealed the deal. And out in Ty’s old truck one day that spring, they found themselves planning their next big adventure: marriage.
They planned a simple day: barefoot, playful and relaxed, full of family and laughs, with a casual BBQ that evening. In another random adventure, Ty’s old truck started on fire as he drove down to Humboldt a few days earlier, but they both made it to the wedding safely. They made their grand entrance to the ceremony in the truck, their wedding party of nieces and nephew bouncing in the back. In her mother’s veil, Amanda walked arm in arm with Ty down the aisle. Ty planned to get a tattoo on his ring finger after the wedding, so just ordered a ring online for the ceremony, but it didn’t arrive in time – Ring Pop to the rescue!
In the shade of the big red barn, standing strong and tall on land that has been in Amanda’s family for over a century, they added to a long history that now has a new chapter. With a group cheers right after the ceremony (after Amanda’s dad moved a few things out of the way), the families joined as one to welcome each other. And with that, the kids scattered to explore the farm, while the others enjoyed a few cold ones on another perfect Saturday afternoon.
Congratulations Amanda and Ty, and enjoy every random adventure that comes your way!

What a gorgeous wedding! I love that they were married on land that has been in the family for over a century. Her dress is so pretty, and that floral headpiece is stunning! You did an amazing job of capturing their fun-loving nature.
Thank you Katy! I just love when a wedding has this kind of history behind it!
I just love all the fun details this couple included. My favorite shot has to be them sitting in the barn window. Wow, I would not be that brave.
Thank you Elizabeth! It’s my fave too and I definitely would not be that brave either!
I love these so much! The pictures of them in the barn are amazing!
Thanks so much Mandi! That barn is so meaningful to them so those photos were everything!
