Kim had just moved to town and was out with friends one night when she met Guy. He bought her a drink, they danced, and she almost gave him the wrong phone number. Guy would probably like to think she was just so dazzled by his moves during the Cha Cha Slide that she couldn’t think straight 😉
The day of their three-year anniversary started like any other day. Unlike previous anniversaries, they didn’t even have a date night planned. Kim, kinda bummed, was on her way home from work when Guy texted and suggested they spend the evening paddle boating down the river. When Kim arrived home, everything was packed and ready to go, and they set off on the water. Kim was starving but Guy insisted they keep going. He pulled out some headphones so that they could listen to a song together… Guy had recorded his own version of Marry You by Bruno Mars, complete with an engagement ring! After floating a bit further down the river, they arrived at a beach where Guy had stashed flowers and champagne earlier that day, and celebrated their perfect engagement with some cold Hawaiian pizza.
A beach along the river seemed like the obvious choice for their Saskatoon engagement photography. It was windy and a bit chilly, but all the more reason to snuggle up! The wind in Kim’s hair and the stormy sky just added to the romantic mood between these two fun-loving, car-singing, off-roading sweethearts who could barely take their eyes off one another. Here are some of our favourites from the evening.

beautiful beach shots! I want a session just like this one!
I love this location – it’s usually super sunny when I shoot here so it was lovely to shoot in moodier weather! Thank you so much!
