Octavia’s Saskatoon grad photos by the river were a blast to capture! This girl is a true creative at heart. She loves everything art, from photography, painting and drawing to fashion and beauty. Even her musical taste is diverse. You can tell she is a free spirit who loves to express herself in different ways.
When Octavia contacted me for her grad photos she was looking for something that would showcase her personality and style, as well as her love of nature. So we brainstormed together and came up with the perfect location: along the river, in the trees. For most of the session, I challenged myself to make the location look like it wasn’t smack dab in the middle of Saskatoon. As a result, it ended up being one of my favourite new spots from the season, and we had a lot of fun exploring the area.
Because of the pandemic, Scott was unable to have his own grad photos taken. Therefore, Octavia made it a priority to include him in some of hers! Scott was an absolute gem. Indeed, he couldn’t have been more supportive throughout the session, attentively fixing Octavia’s dress and telling her how beautiful she looked. He jumped willingly into photos and even said he liked getting his photo taken, which I don’t hear from guys very often! Evidently, they are a match made in heaven. Octavia and Scott even live together and have two cats, who they love like their own children.
Finally, as the sun began to set, we captured some stunning shots of the Saskatoon skyline and the river. The colors and clouds were breathtaking, and it was the perfect ending to a great evening.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to capture these moments for you, Octavia, and wish you all the best!
