Brooke’s Saskatoon Grad Portraits with Wildflowers
A 2024 graduate from Tommy Douglas Collegiate, Brooke wanted flowers to feature in her Saskatoon grad portraits. And flowers she got! Although it took a few reschedules thanks to this summer’s wacky weather, in the end we hit the timing perfectly. This little spot was just popping, with the flowers were still in bloom, and the warm evening sun mimicking the golden tones in the blossoms.
Brooke brought such a fun energy to her session and she was up for all my ideas, no matter how crazy they sounded! Whether it was lying in the flowers, sitting on a palette, or balancing on a pile of logs, she did what it took to get the shot and made it all look effortless too.
Afterwards, we headed to a beautiful hillside outlook over the South Saskatchewan river. This spot gave us a little bit of everything – Saskatoon’s iconic train bridge, the river’s calm reflections, and a warm prairie sunset that cast a soft glow across the city skyline.
Meanwhile, in between photos, I got to learn more about Brooke. She’s a fitness fan who loves going to the gym and running. Additionally, she has an eclectic taste in music, and absolutely adores her dog Cooper. She’s planning to work this year and save money to travel, and it was fun to hear about all her plans for adventure!
Congratulations on your graduation, Brooke! You were such a joy to photograph and I loved what we created together. Wishing you all the best in your next chapter!
