Marion Graham High School: Saskatoon Graduation Photography

“My dress makes me feel like a queen, and I really want that same energy in my photos.”

Challenge accepted! Although I have to say it wasn’t a difficult challenge – Jana definitely brought that energy to her grad session! A 2022 graduate of Marion Graham High School, Jana has always been a creative person who loves to make a bold statement through her fashion choices. Indeed, her graduation outfit was no different! So from her tiara and her black lace dress all the way down to her pink Steve Madden boots, Jana’s look spoke volumes about who she is – creative, fun, and unique.

Aside from her love of alternative fashion, she also brings her creativity to the music scene. Jana enjoys playing the guitar and piano. She’s also a talented photographer who especially loves to capture the energy of live music. Needless to say, we had a lot to chat about!

For her grad photos, Jana wanted to embody the sense of confidence and power that her outfit gave her. Her dress made her feel like a queen, and a queen needs a castle! Saskatoon is kind of short on historical ruins, but the gorgeous old buildings on the University of Saskatchewan campus were a great substitute for that castle vibe. They definitely made the perfect regal location for Jana’s photos.

Jana intends to make a career out of her passion for true crime, by studying forensic pathology! One of her tattoos reads “no rain, no flowers” – a testament to her unwavering spirit and determination. You’ve got big things ahead, Jana – congratulations on your graduation!
