Saskatoon Wedding Photographer: Richelle and Jared’s Dalmeny Wedding

Richelle and Jared are high school sweethearts – they met when Richelle was only 13, and have been together ever since! They both grew up in Dalmeny and have built their life there together, so it clearly holds a special place in both of their hearts. They planned their Dalmeny wedding with a small town party atmosphere in mind, and it did not disappoint!

Jared hung out at home with the guys that morning, while Richelle got ready with the girls at her sister’s house just a few doors down (gotta love small towns!). There were loads of laughs figuring out the intricacies of Richelle’s wedding dress lacing, with Google and a wooden spoon to the rescue! Soon after, as the sun shone down on the early summer’s day, Jared awaited Richelle for their sweet first look beside the lake.

Richelle was all smiles throughout their short, heartfelt ceremony, and their guests smiled along with them. They took some time to greet everyone as they left the church before taking some time away for their wedding portraits. We made a stop at a place that holds so much meaning for them – the high school where it all began. We spent some time in the hallway where they first met, and then at the benches where they used to hang out, where they snuggled up to relive some of those early moments.

Back at the hall, a packed house delighted in stories about the bride and groom over the years. Richelle and Jared ducked out of the reception after their first dance, for a quick trip out into the fields and a few stolen moments in the last golden light of an absolutely beautiful day.
