Annike’s Walter Murray Grad Photos at Golden Hour

Meet Annike, a 2023 graduate of Walter Murray Collegiate in Saskatoon. Annike is passionate about fashion, soccer, and reading. After taking a gap year, she’s planning to dive into international studies or social sciences to prepare for law school.

Annike had her heart set on a field of flowers for her Walter Murray grad photos. I scouted around, but June is still a bit early for vibrant floral displays. Though it wasn’t my fault, I still felt bad about the limited options available. However, fate had a pleasant surprise in store. On the way to her session, I took a shortcut around the back of a random building. And there it was — a tiny but beautiful patch of wildflowers. It felt like a hidden gem waiting to be discovered, and to make it even better, the evening light hit just right. It definitely added a touch of magic to Annike’s session.

We continued her session down the Meewasin Trail. A calm, warm night, the slightly hazy sky gave us the most beautiful golden hour light. Annike was adventurous and basically up for anything. As a result, she had no problem sitting or laying down in her grad dress – in fact, it was usually her idea! Hot tip: approach your grad photos with an adventurous spirit like Annike did! We can get even more creative, and your photos will have more variety and be more unique!
