Teresa and Willie’s Saskatchewan Farm Engagement Photos in Colonsay
Willie was a customer of Teresa’s at Crop Production Services. She knew he was hers the second she laid eyes on him. After a first date of fishing, muskrat hunting and movies, it wasn’t long before he knew it too.
After about a year and a half of dating, Teresa was studying for finals. She wrote “Will you marry me?” on a study card and hid it in Willie’s dresser drawer. They took turns hiding it in each other’s drawers, so that it would be the first or last thing the other person saw that day. One day, Willie hid the note in her drawer as usual, but this time with a ring box. Teresa got dressed that morning not noticing a thing. As she was doing laundry, the dryer started making a weird noise. He followed her while she went to check it out. As she peered into the dryer, he got down on one knee behind her and opened her drawer. She turned and looked into the drawer, thinking “this can’t be real!” and that’s when Willie asked her to marry him!
Teresa and Willie recently bought a beautiful farm near Colonsay to call their own, so naturally we did their engagement session there – before they even moved in! We explored the yard, hung out with the cows, and climbed up into the barn. They were eager to begin their life together on the farm, and talked about how their grandchildren would one day play there. We finished the session by chasing the last light out into a canola field, a perfect end to an evening in the country.
Teresa and Willie are planning their intimate country wedding for October, and look forward to sharing lots of happy memories with family and friends.
