Sherry and John’s Saskatoon Engagement Portraits at Chief Whitecap Park
Sherry and John have known each other for most of their lives. They went to the same school, but ran in different circles. After graduation, life took them down separate paths. Many years later they were reunited at a mutual friend’s wedding, and then found themselves on their 30th high school reunion committee. John tried to sit beside her at the meeting. Sherry accidentally touched his arm. Curious sparks began to fly. Once the reunion rolled around, they spent much of it talking, and afterwards, John took the plunge and asked her out. One date later and they both knew they had a connection they never realized could exist.
We met up at Chief Whitecap Park for some “just because” photos of the two of them together, for no other reason than to celebrate their relationship. We spent a warm fall evening wandering through the park, the autumn leaves absolutely ablaze with color. Sherry and John’s love for each other and their joy in just being together is immediately evident, as they laughed and teased and snuggled their way through their session.
When I met Sherry to drop off their canvas order, she told me some exciting news! Turns out these were engagement portraits after all, we just didn’t know it yet! John proposed shortly after their session, and they’ll be getting married this New Year’s Eve in Saskatoon. These two wonderful people deserve all the happiness in the world, and I’m so excited for them to begin their next chapter. Congratulations and much love, you two <3
“When searching for a photographer we came across the Copperblue Facebook page. The images Tracy had posted immediately drew us in, we spent the evening looking at the work she had shared. There was a series from one couples engagement set that we kept coming back to, we both said we want someone to capture our happiness the way it was captured from them.
When we contacted Tracy to book our pictures, she is so easy to communicate with, her attitude was so reassuring. Our first booking had to be postponed due to bad weather, which turned out to be such a blessing. When we met Tracy at the park, the following week, the weather was perfect.
During the shoot she made it so easy to be ourselves and her pictures have captured our feelings for each other.
The reveal and selection was fun and easy. The final proofs were wonderful and the canvas print we ordered was amazing.
Tracy is obviously a great photographer, as shown through her work, but what does not show is just how pleasant she makes the session. Her easy going personality with her desire to capture the true essence of our feelings for each other made it a truly great afternoon.
The experience from booking the appt, the planning and getting to know us, the actual picture day to the reveal were all important parts of the experience. We would highly recommend Tracy and her talents.”
