The August sun shone bright and cheerful the morning of Katlyn and Nathan’s wedding. Katlyn’s bridesmaids buzzed around the house, pouring mimosas and adjusting hair and makeup, a box of Kleenex always at the ready for Katlyn’s frequent outbursts of happy tears. Katlyn’s mom helped her into her dress and her bridesmaids assisted with her veil and shoes. There were tears all around as Katlyn took one last look in the mirror, ready for the best day ever.
Meanwhile at Katlyn’s parents’ acreage, Nathan and his groomsmen had the music on and a beer on the go. After a bit of tie-tying research, they got the job done, and it was time for their first look. As he stood in the quiet of the trees, Nathan rubbed his hands together, smiling nervously as Katlyn approached. They spent a few emotional moments alone together, excited for what was to come.
Nathan’s a car guy, so of course they arrived at their ceremony site by car, even though it was right in the yard. Fitting for the times, the car was a 1969 Toyota Corona that Nathan had spent the week prior to the wedding restoring. Their sweet pup Kaius, in his ringbearer tux, lead the way down the aisle. And in the warm afternoon breeze, on a hill overlooking her childhood home, Katlyn and Nathan’s sweet personal vows sealed promises for their lives together.
Katlyn and Nathan planned their day as a casual, stress-free, fun celebration with their loved ones, honoring how far they have come together and how they will continue to grow. As the warm sun set and the string lights sparkled in the tent, family and friends shared funny stories and heartfelt best wishes. On the lawn under the stars of the clear night sky, they shared their first dance as husband and wife, before the party kicked into high gear.
Congratulations Katlyn and Nathan – cheers to a lifetime of growing in love and growing together!
