Samantha and Curtis’ Wedding at Early Rising Acres and OK Corral near Martensville
Samantha and Curtis met at work. The first thing she noticed was his energy, bouncing on the spot while talking to some co-workers. She remembers thinking she’d never be able to handle being with someone so energetic. But through classes together, dog walks, gym visits, and yoga classes, they got to know each other. Curtis knew from the very first day that she was special. And to quote Samantha’s vows: “As it turns out, it’s exactly the right amount of energy I needed in my life to fill my heart with so much love.”
The sun shone brightly over Early Rising Acres as the bridal party put the finishing touches on the ceremony decorations. It was a special place for them to get married, as the owners are as dear to Samantha as grandparents. Samantha groomed and braided her horse’s mane with sprigs of baby’s breath to match her own. Meanwhile, back in the city, Curtis treated his groomsmen to a special bottle of scotch (which got mixed reviews).
The flower girls, adorable in their flower crowns, put their own spin on their duties as Samantha rode in on horseback. The tears in Curtis’ eyes were echoed by many as he joined his bride. Under the warm August sun, they promised their handwritten vows to each other.
Samantha is truly the sweet, calm, grounding presence to Curtis’ high-energy vivacity. Together they are the perfect balance, a synergy that was beautiful to witness as they greeted their guests, celebrated with their wedding party, and in the time they spent alone together before the reception. And from their choreographed first dances to drinks around the bonfire, their reception at OK Corral was jam-packed with great memories and moments, and amazing people who surrounded them with love and so much laughter.
Congratulations Samantha and Curtis!

Ahh thank you so much Rose! Those horses had so much character!
She rode a horse down the aisle?? That is incredible!
Just to the top of the aisle! But it was still incredible!!
I love his getting ready pictures! Most of the time the guy doesn’t get any! These are terrific!
Thank you! Same here, we often skip the guys and I’m always so happy when we don’t! There were definitely some fun moments that I’m glad we could capture!
