Makenna’s Aden Bowman Grad Photos by the South Saskatchewan River

Meet Makenna, an Aden Bowman graduate with a love for sports and a dream of becoming an early years teacher! From softball and hockey to playing guitar and chilling with her dogs and lizard, she’s a girl of many talents and passions.

Growing up, Makenna always knew she wanted to be a teacher. In the meantime, she dove headfirst into sports, playing competitive hockey for many years before joining a rec league. And when it comes to softball, she’s got some serious skills. She’s competed numerous times at the national level and signed to the University of Saskatchewan Women’s Softball team as an infielder for the 2023 season!

I met up with Makenna for her grad photos down by the river, on a beautiful stretch of the Meewasin Trail that runs through the tall trees in the valley. This is fast becoming one of my favourite locations for grad photos in Saskatoon, especially later in the summer. Forest, water, beach and beautiful light – there’s so much to love about this spot!

It turns out that Makenna approaches life in general with the same positive attitude, not just sports! She was up for anything during her session, climbing up riverbanks and balancing on rocks in her heels, facing every challenge with a smile on her face. Seriously, I couldn’t get her to NOT smile!

Makenna’s not afraid to chase her dreams, whether it’s on the field or in the classroom. She’s proof that with passion, determination, and a whole lot of smiles, anything is possible. Congratulations Makenna – it was so fun to hang out with you!
